What Longformly collects, why, how long videos are kept, and who processes payments.

What we collect
- Your script and settings. The text you paste (or the topic you give), plus your choices of niche, voice, look, captions and background sound. We need them to make the video.
- Your videos. The preview and full videos, caption files and credits files we make for you.
- A guest session. When you start a preview we create an anonymous guest session so that your videos stay in "My videos" on your device. It holds no name or address.
- Email, only if you give it. If you leave an email for a "ready" message, or contact us, we keep it for that purpose.
- Payments. Stripe processes your payment. We receive the payment status and amount, never your card number.
- Usage data. Pages visited, the steps you take (for example preview started, checkout opened), approximate country, referrer and campaign tags, and technical errors. We use it to run and improve the service.
How we use it
To make and deliver your video, to show progress, to take payment and send receipts, to prevent abuse and fraud, to keep the service within its costs, and to improve it. We do not sell your data and we do not use your script to train models.
Content safety
Scripts are checked against our content rules (see the terms) before and while a video is made. Safety checks can read your script automatically.
Shared image library
Generated scene images that contain no proper names may be reused in videos made for other users. Your script text is not shared. Images made from prompts that name a person or brand stay private to your video.
Who else handles data
We use service providers to host the site, store files, generate images and narration, and take payment. They process data on our behalf to provide the service. Stripe is the payment processor. We do not give providers more of your script than they need to do their part.
How long we keep things
Free previews are kept for at least 7 days. Paid videos stay available in "My videos" for at least 30 days after delivery, so you can download them. You can delete a project, or all your data, yourself at any time from My videos; see Your choices. Payment records are kept as the law requires. The shared-library images, which contain no proper names, may stay in the library after a project is deleted.

Your choices
Delete your data. In My videos you can delete one video, or choose "Delete all my data". We cancel any video still being made, then remove the script, the preview and full videos, caption and credits files, thumbnails, your ready-email address and the project records. This works for guest sessions too, and it cannot be undone. We keep payment records (the payment amount, the Stripe payment and customer reference, and the minutes ledger) because accounting and refunds need them; the email and share link on the checkout record are cleared. When you delete all your data, our usage events are kept without your account id, so they no longer point to you. Anything else you want removed, such as the guest session itself, write to us and we answer by email.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
