Space documentaries, from a script to a finished video

Tell the story of a mission, a probe or a planet. Real public-domain photographs carry the scenes where they exist, generated illustrations fill the gaps, and every image is listed in your credits file.

How space videos are built

Public-domain photographs first

Where a real photograph exists, we use it, with its title and credit line recorded in credits.txt. Generated scenes are marked as illustrations.

Calm or cinematic

Choose slow narration for sleep-friendly space videos, or a more cinematic pace for documentaries.

Sources you can show

Every download includes a credits file you can paste into your video description. Space agencies do not endorse videos made with their public images, and we never use their logos.

Scripts that stay on track

Chapter by chapter writing, each aware of the last, so a 30-minute mission story keeps its thread.

Start from a script like this

On Christmas Eve in 1968, three astronauts were circling the Moon for the first time in history. They had spent the day looking down at grey, cratered ground. Then, as their spacecraft came around the far side, something small and bright appeared above the horizon.Opening of the sample space script.

Questions

Are the space pictures real?

Where a real public-domain photograph exists, we use it and record its title and credit in credits.txt. Scenes with no photograph are generated and marked as illustrations in the same file.

Does the space agency endorse these videos?

No. Public images are free to use, but that is not an endorsement. We never use agency logos or insignia.

How long can the video be?

Up to 60 minutes from a pasted script of up to 50,000 characters. You choose the length: a short film of a few minutes works as well as a full hour.

How much does a video cost?

The free preview is 10 seconds with a watermark and needs no card or account. A full video up to 60 minutes is $9.90 as a single payment, or you can buy credits (one credit is one minute of finished video) and spend them across videos.

Can I monetise a space documentary and do I need to disclose AI?

The video is built for it: your script, a credits file for every image and licence-clean sound. YouTube asks creators to disclose realistic synthetic content, and we show you where to tick that box. Monetisation is always YouTube's decision.

How long does it take to make?

In our own tests a 5-minute film took about 20 minutes, and longer films take longer. You can close the tab: the video is saved in My videos on this device, and if you leave an email address we send the link when it is ready.
